I can load Vista x64 onto an IDE drive and I can load Vista 32 bit onto a SATA drive but cannot load Vista x64 on any internal SATA drives. I can't boot up my old XP as Vista Booter says it can't find the Boot.ini file. All told the system had recorded 29 error that it had no solutions for.

I woudn't count on this. I am using the drivers supplied by Microsoft on the XP 64 disk It's normal practice to put 3rd party drivers into the Windows setup. C:\Windows\system32\Drivers\ultra.sys Obviously it's a 64-bit driver provided by Promise, or MS licensed the code and rebuilt it for x64.

While trying to set up my computer with a multi-boot i ran in to a few problems and had a few re-installations to get it to work. Also, since Vista x64 (and my motherboard) supports more RAM ,will a high RAM value (8 Gig) impact XP Pro, or will it just ignore (black hole) what it can't use.
